It’s here, it’s finally here!
After a blazing summer that teased us with its dips in temperature, the heat and humidity will finally give way to crisp mornings and cool evenings. Even now, some of our customers are getting ready for fall and have ordered hot drinks instead of ice. But let’s not get too crazy; it’s still 90 degrees after all.
So, to celebrate the transition into fall our drink master Chris has created something that fits both seasons: the Marrakech Mocha!
No, this drink isn’t as out there as the Scandinavian Lemonade, but it is just as tasty!
The Marrakech Mocha is inspired by Morocco, a country located in northwest Africa along the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Due to its location, Morocco’s culture has always been heavily influenced by its Berber, Jewish, and Arabic citizens. Overtime, external influences such as the French and Spanish have also left their imprint on the Moroccan culture.
The diversity of all these different cultures has created a unique cuisine full of flavors and heavy spices such as ginger, cardamon, cinnamon, cumin, etc.
This is where Chris pulls his inspiration from! The Marrakech Mocha is our classic mocha sauce spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, and orange blossom nectar.
See! I told you, it’s not as out there as lemons in coffee! However, I’m guessing someone might question the orange blossom nectar. Let me tell you, the orange blossom nectar doesn’t actually taste like oranges. The nectar adds a simple floral sweetness that enhances the chocolate, as do the cinnamon and cardamom.
To me, the heavy spice flavors scream autumn and I can’t wait for it to be truly here! What do you guys think? Are you ready for fall, and this deliciously inspired drink?
